Our first family trip

Last weekend we decided to make the trip up to the Soo, MI for a good friend, Ashley's wedding. Now some called us brave, crazy...courageous to make a 5 hour trip with a 4 week old. But regardless, we packed everything up, minus the dogs and headed up.
We split the trip in half, and left at 10pm so that Nolin would sleep for most of the way. This proved to be a great combo...not so much for the way back!
Needless to say we spent almost on hour on the side of I-75 in the UP (not many exits to be found!) trying to calm a furious baby. Joyous...

BUT we made it back in one piece.
Once we arrived in the UP, it felt so good to be back to where we went to college and fell in love! The weather was in the 70's, breezy and sunny--a much needed break from the hot weather downstate (when we left the day before it had actually reached 100!).
On campus we took pictures of some of our favorite places together-such amazing memories. This is the place where we met each other and made life-long friends. It reminded me of when us tennis girls came up early before school started to train, and it was still summer and so beautiful. The only thing that was missing was the whole tennis team, and hitting a couple balls on the courts outside the SAC. *sigh*
The wedding was gorgeous beyond words, on the beach and romantic. We were happy to be able to see such a beautiful and kind couple wed, and to spend time with some of our best friends.

Here are some pictures from the trip!
